Inspired by vibrant Thai night markets, the restaurant is helmed by Head Chef Nuch Srichantranon, who has had experience from growing up in Bangkok, with a slight twist influenced by his experience cooking in Australia. Housed in the colonial compound, Tai Kwun, Aaharn explores Thai fine dining and is helmed by Chef David Thompson. Recently awarded with a Michelin star in 2020, the restaurant serves authentic Thai dishes using quality ingredients and fresh Thai herbs and vegetables imported directly from the region. Everything is eaten with rice (based on the Thai tradition “kup kao”) and wine and cocktail pairings are recommended.

Sheung Wan’s Samsen restaurant hype has not gone unnoticed. The Thai eatery has been almost fully-booked since its opening and rightly so—the dining spot earned its reputation initially from Adam Cliff’s first outpost in Wan Chai (which earned a Michelin star) and has continued its high standards ever since. Try the bold flavours from the menu in a street-style presentation—the mango sticky rice being, of course, one of the most popular, pre-ordered dishes upon arrival.
